Standard medical checkup time

Mission:
Getting To Know You
Location: Sickbay
Jack reminded himself that putting it off any longer wasn't going to help him in any way, shape or form. The dreaded standard physical. He wasn't a fan of them. Mind you, he didn't have anything particular against them, he just felt it was wasted time, most of the time.
But still, Starfleet regulations mandated it, and as such, Jack made his way to sickbay.
Sitting in his office, Calvin had his boots up on the corner of his desk as he sifted through PaDDs. He was quite happy with the crew, with a better than average check in for their physicals. He picked up the coffee mug and took a sip of it, brushing some lint off his teal shirt after setting the mug down.
Jack made his way to the office, whistling as he did, drawing the attention from some of the young nurses who started whispering amongst themselves. He peered into the office with a smile. "Doc?"
He closed the PaDD and looked up seeing the Lt standing at his door. The collar color intrigued him, not realizing they had fighters onboard. He shrugged it off, figuring it was a late addition or he just overlooked it. "Good day sir, would you like a seat? Or are you here for a physical?" He asked, taking his feet off the desk and standing up to be polite.
"Just my mandatory physical, that's all." Jack offered stepping into the office, offering a strong hand in greet. "Jack Carver, CAG. Pleased to meet you."
Calvin stepped around the desk as Jack spoke, stopping at a polite distance between the two. He took the hand when offered, giving an equal strong handshake. He liked a strong handshake, meant something to him. "Calvin, nice to meet you. Or Doc, either is fine by me. Follow me out." He requested as he stepped by the man out into sickbay. He motioned to the bio bed he wanted his patient to occupy as he stepped up to the console to begin inputting information and start the diagnostics.
"Well met, Calvin." Jack offered, moving to sit on the indicated biobed. He heaved a deep sigh, relaxing, slowly his breathing a bit. This was always the boring and awkward part.
As he brought the console online, he glanced up at the patient to get a general impression. He seemed to be in alright shape. Bringing up the patient's chart, he skimmed it quickly as the diagnostics of the bio bed began their routine. "Any problems since your last physical? Pains, aches, symptoms, problems in general?" He inquired as he grabbed his medical tricorder and a PaDD.
"No new aches, complaints, symptoms, problems or other interesting developments." Jack offered with a slight smile.
"Anything not interesting then?" He asked with a smile in return. He walked around the console, setting the PaDD down on the table next to the bio bed and opened the medical tricorder. "Quick head to toe, Some palpation, some scanning. As long as everything checks out you'll be out of here in no time."
"Well, I always get a swallow reflex after masticating for a bit, does that count?" Jack's smile widened a bit. "Not very interesting though."
Calvin stopped what he was doing, looking at Jack in the eyes with a raised eyebrow, before breaking out into a grin and a chuckle. "I like you," he simply responded before continuing his assessement. With gentle and quick hands, he explained each aspect of the assessment as he did it, doing quick palpations alternating with scanning with his tricorder. He started at the head and slowly worked his way down the patient's body.
Jack sat quietly and cooperated whenever bade to do something.
His hands and eyes moving in the same patterns he had done many a time before, his mind was mostly running on auto pilot as he checked through each part of his assessment. He glanced up at the man, breaking his routine's thought process for a moment, "So last minute add on to the crew? How long you been flying?"
"For Starfleet? Almost fifteen years, minus a year sabbatical." Jack mused, watching the doctor work, just remaining still.
Calvin nodded, closing his tricorder after placing the probe back into its slot. He walked back around to the console and checked the assessments the bio bed automation was performing. "Well Jack, looks like everything checks out. You are free of the sickbay dungeon. Do you have any questions for me?"
"Nope, no questions." Jack smiled, rising from the bio bed. "Thanks for your time, doc."
"Anytime you want to get poked and prodded with a smile you know where to find me," He said jokingly. "If I find anything from the lab work I'll let you know, but consider no news good news. Can't say there is anything that would lead me to believe there would be." He stood at the console, shutting off the systems.
