Physical therapy

Mission: New Beginnings
Location: Sickbay

Alanah was glad her talk with the Captain went well. As suggested she was now going to see an old friend about her needed therapy. As she made her way to sickbay she walked in and it was quiet... A good thing she thought as she looked around for Calvin. It was way to quiet and she didn't see him anywhere.

The swoosh of the Sickbay doors perked Calvin’s attention, which was a welcome change of thought from the loop his mind was stuck in. Gingerly working his way around the corner hoping it wasn’t another delivery or some problem, until he saw who was standing there.

“Well, that’s a face I haven’t seen in a long while,” He said with a smile.

Alanah perked up when she first heard his voice and then saw him. "Cal, it's been too long. Good news though is I am back. And I am here cause I need to setup some follow up physical therapy."

"Some physical therapy?" Calvin responded leading her through the empty corridor to a bio bed. He powered on a sleeping console to bring up her medical records.

"Yeah injuries I sustained on my last mission here. I was sent to a medical facility for internal injuries and radiation exposure treatment." She was surprised he didn't remember.

“Oh yes,” Calvin replied, reading through the chart quickly. “Sorry, a lot on my mind recently.” He tapped through the console for a while before piping up again. “So it looks like they gave some outline for physical therapy here,” He said scanning the suggested outline. He walked around the console with tricorder in hand to give her a quick scan. “How are you feeling?”

"Ya know. Good days and bad days.". She deflected the actual question. " I would say today is a good day."

“How bad are your bad days?” He continued, starting to scan her.

"The biggest issue is my mid back gets so sore if I have to do much on my feet before I get a chance to stretch. I have been stretching every morning but if middle of the day something comes up and am moving or lifting or training with out stretching first I pay for it that night and the next day.". She explained.

“Anything else besides your back bothering you?” He asked, moving to her back to scan.

She thought for a minute. "No, that's pretty much it right now.". She replied trying to be as relaxed as should could. "How have you been, darlin?"

Calvin nodded, walking around to her front to face her. "Well you seem to be slightly better than the last time they did a physical on you. We'll keep to the current plan your on until you either plateau or something else comes up." He walked around to the console. "Me? Oh you know, evacuated an exploding ship, trying to get this monster of a sickbay rolling for our first mission. The usual," adding a wink to the end of it.

"Well if you stay bored maybe we can get a bite to eat sometime." She teased. "Anything else you need to know before I get back to work?"

"Definitely, would love to catch up! Have you scheduled with the counselor for a session as well?" He asked.

"You knew the answer to that before you asked.". She said with a sly grin.

"Schedule it or you can't be cleared," Calvin responded with an eye roll. "We'll keep to weekly sessions of checking up for now. However you seem to be on the ball with it all, anything for me?"

Alanah matched his eye roll. "Naw, I am good just don't forget out our date.". She said as she stride out of site to see what other trouble she could get into.
