Hi! Anything Broken Here?

Mission:
New Beginnings
Location: Sickbay
Making the rounds, making the rounds. Evelyn shook her head as she stepped lively towards her next stop. The biggest problem with the Odyssey-class ships were that they were LARGE. Over a kilometer long, a third of a kilometer wide and a hundred and a half tall? That made for a lot of deckspace and just sheer distance. And she was the Lady of it all, at least for making sure the ship ran properly. And she'd not quite gotten ALL of the bugs sorted out yet, with more that would undoubtedly show up as the crew got settled in and actually started using things.
Of course, she'd missed some of the senior officers arriving for various reasons, including, unfortunately, the Chief Medical Officer. 'Calvin Morgan, Lieutenant Commander, cybernetic eyes.' She recalled, making sure to have made note of all the people who had bits of engineering inside them. She was a ship's engineer, but that wasn't any reason not to make sure she'd be able to handle ANY sort of engineering type problem. Rounding the last corner, she slowed her pace as she approached the main sickbay and triggered the doors with a great big smile, eyes scanning already around the handful of people in the room, looking for... There. Two and a half pips, just like her. She stepped smartly over towards him, "Doctor Morgan, I presume!" She exclaimed, putting out her hand to him, "I'm Evelyn Rozia, the Chief Engineer, sorry to have missed your arrival transport, I was working on a small problem we found."
Calvin jumped slightly at the interruption to his distant gaze. He was standing at a console, and was typing orders into the system. He looked over at the newcomer after glancing around, almost to get his bearings. “Doc, or Calvin is just fine,” He replied. He looked a little worse for wear. He returned the offer of the hand for a firm but indifferent handshake. “And,” a inquisitive statement to start until all the words that she said trigger in his mind. “Nice to meet you,” trying to pipe up his attitude to his more usual cheery self. “How may I help you?”
"Actually, Calvin, I came in here to see if there were anything I could do to help you." She grinned at him, "I may not be fully up to spec for all the little details of medical equipment, but aside from some of the major systems in here, not much has been tested out to see if it'll function properly under most types of situations, so it may have some bugs to it that I'll need to beat out of the consoles and such. Not to mention..." She glanced to the side, "I may or may not be late on my annual physical."
“Well my dear, if its any consolation, you are in a large group of people who are late for their physicals. Let’s get that done,” Calvin said pointing at a bio bed for her to sit down on. “Most of the secondary and tertiary rooms haven’t even been opened yet honestly,” Calvin said as they walked over. “Equipment in this room is mostly working. What I really want is my old sickbay back,” Calvin trailed off at the end, his mind wandering. “But this will suffice.”
Evelyn hopped up on the biobed without question. Just like she expected everyone to bring any routine maintenance on the ship to her attention, routine maintenance on the personnel was the job of the ship's doctor, "If you find you require assistance, I can assign an engineer or two to help you get everything settled in and running to spec." She grinned, "That was the real reason I came up here, to make sure everything was running right. The earlier we squash the bugs, the better."
After running a series of commands through the console, Calvin walked over to the bio bed with tricorder in hand. He began his scan of her after a few taps on the tricorder, explaining each step of the way. Occasionally he would do a physical assessment. "Well considering more than half of the equipment is still shrink wrapped, it wouldn't surprise me if you or your engineers will be here more than once. Any changes to your health recently?"
"I lost a forty-three pound tumor about five months ago." Evelyn said with a straight face and could only keep from laughing for a few seconds in order to get a reaction out of Calvin, then snickered, "My former Captain's daughter was always in Engineering on the Scheherazade and always asking me questions. Other than that, I've been balancing my horrible diet by running around like a chicken with my head cut off for the last two months."
Calvin nodded, almost absent mindedly with a smile at the joke. "Well you look good enough for now. I'd suggest a little more running and a little less horrible diet on occasion though," He said with a wink. "Wish though I could give you a list of requests, but we just haven't had enough time to break anything or find anything already broken."
"And if you ever find a need to break something, you've got plenty of things you can use to swing around." She laughed, "But a big Hell No to the running, I'll find some other way to exercise if need be to support my bad food habit, because things just taste so damned good! I'm not giving up my double chocolate ice cream with fudge ribbon and maraschino cherry pieces!"
Calvin smiled. “Go to single chocolate ice cream. It’s a step in the right direction,” He winked.
"Single chocolate..." Evelyn screwed up her face in mock horror, "How about I take five minutes, upgrade to a triple chocolate and drop back down to a double?" She winked at him in return, "I'll keep the um.... Suggestion to drop some calories in mind, and tell you what, I'll come back consistently to prove to you that I'm not doing myself any harm by consuming them?" She asked hopefully, "Of course, combined with coming back for any equipment problems you'll undoubtedly have, I may convince you to indulge and absolve myself of having to!"
“Oh I indulge, just of the more liquid variety,” Calvin replied tapping away at the console. “I’ll review your previous records. If you don’t hear from me consider your physical good to go. But I’m sure you’ll hear from me once I figure out how much the builders left broken in here.”
"And also let me know who, if any, of my people need their own physicals and I'll make sure to assign them to anything you need fixed." She gave a devious smile, "Two birds, one stone, right?"
Calvin chuckled. "Good thinking there. Get them trapped here so they cannot leave. I like it," He said tapping the side of his before pointing at her, the sign of a good thought. "Well if you don't have any questions for me, you should be all set."
Evelyn slid off the table and smiled up at the doctor, "All righty, sounds good. Even if nothing's broken, I'll swing by in a week or so just to say hi and poke around, you know, just because." She grinned, "Gotta walk off all these calories after all!"
“Sounds good!” Calvin replied, turning away after Evelyn walked away.
