Mission:
Getting To Know You
Location: USS Astraea
The shuttle docked with the USS Astraea and Kaarg stepped out onto the deck. With his armour, house sash and weapons, he looked like he was coming for war, not to cook for the crew. "Sir, you can't have those-," that was as far as the Lieutenant got before he was interrupted by the Klingon's gruff growl of a voice, "Young man, you touch my bags and I'll rip your arms off. You see those? They are diplomatic seals. Otherwise known as," at which point the Klingon leant forward, staring the Lieutenant in the eyes, "NO TOUCHY!" He bellowed. He leant back to his full height and swept out of the dock. As he did, he pointed at a couple of creates, "Those are for my quarters, the rest go to my kitchen!" With that said, he was gone, leaving somewhat bewildered crew in his wake.
Kaarg enjoyed doing that. It was childish and silly but it made his day that much brighter. "Computer, Please advise where the quarters are for General K'Lok Maarg, pseudonym, Kaarg"
"Please follow the directional markers to your assigned quarters, Ambassador Maarg" The Klingon stopped, stared at the console a moment, "Computer, unless I'm designated as an official ambassador to the Federation to this vessel, it's just Kaarg." He got no reply. Sighing, the Klingon warrior stalked to his quarters and unpacked. The picture of his wife and son took pride of place at his desk. Even though they had been gone over fifdteen years, he still missed them and, due to that part of his history, had never re-mated.
He sat there for a few minutes, lost in thought before the computer's beep brought him from his reverie. "Ambassador, your belongings have been deivered to the mess hall kitchen."
"Thank you," Kaarg said with a sigh, his fingers gently stroking the image of his lost mate as he stood up.
A short while later saw the Klingon in the mess kitchens. He stopped, stared around and said, "and you call THIS a kitchen? What are you, savages?" With that, he started making a list of the things he would need to make the kitchen truly his. To be fair, he had to admit that, as kitchens went, it was far better than he was letting on but he had to start things the right way. It would show him which of the kitchen and mess crew he could trust and work with and which he could not. It would take time to stow the things he'd brought with him. He'd need to explore, find suitable strategiuc points and, if there were no defenses in place, start working on them. It was going to be a busy time and he'd not even met the Captain, yet...
